Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the sale of products and services by Tip Top Tyres & Auto (Pty) Ltd (Registration Number: 2017/208400/07) (“Tip Top Tyres”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) to you (“Customer” or “you”) via our website www.tiptoptyres.co.za (“the Site”). By accessing the Site, placing an order, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms must be read together with our Returns & Refunds Policy, Shipping Policy, Privacy Policy, and Cookies Policy, all of which are available on our Site and form part of these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Site.
1. Introduction
1.1 Who We Are – Tip Top Tyres & Auto (Pty) Ltd is a South African tyre and automotive retailer and service provider with registered offices at 261 Jan Van Riebeeck Street, Pretoria North, Pretoria, 0182, South Africa.
1.2 Governing Law – These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
1.3 Consumer Protection – Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA) or Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (ECTA).
2. Orders and Acceptance
2.1 Orders are placed via our Site and must be completed using accurate contact and delivery information.
2.2 An order confirmation email acknowledges receipt but does not constitute acceptance. Acceptance occurs only when goods are dispatched or a service booking is confirmed.
2.3 We may cancel an order due to stock shortages, errors, payment failure, suspected fraud, or policy violation. Any cancelled paid order will be fully refunded.
3. Pricing and Payment
3.1 All prices are in ZAR and include VAT, unless stated otherwise.
3.2 Prices may change without notice, but final checkout pricing will be honoured.
3.3 Payment is required at checkout.
3.4 We use secure third-party gateways. We do not store your card details.
4. Shipping and Delivery
4.1 We deliver within South Africa only.
4.2 Shipping is free for all orders over R2000 nationwide, whether delivered to your address or a selected fitment centre.
For orders with a cart total of less than R2000, a flat shipping fee of R149.50 per tyre applies.
4.3 Orders are processed within 1 business day after payment is confirmed.
4.4 Delivery takes place within 3 business days from dispatch. You will receive a tracking link via SMS or email once your order has been dispatched.
4.5 Risk and ownership transfer to you upon delivery (to your chosen address or selected fitment centre). You must inspect the goods within 24 hours of delivery and report any damage, shortages, or issues immediately.
5. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges (30-Day Policy)
5.1 You may return unopened and unused products within 30 days of delivery.
5.2 Tyres that have been fitted, mounted, used, or driven on are not eligible for return or refund.
5.3 You must request return authorization by emailing support@tiptoptyres.co.za before sending any item back.
5.4 Returned goods must be in original condition and packaging, with proof of purchase.
5.5 Return courier fees are the responsibility of the customer, unless we supplied an incorrect or defective product.
5.6 Refunds will be processed within 7 business days after inspection and will exclude original shipping fees (unless we were at fault).
5.7 Exchanges follow the same rules and are subject to stock availability.
6. Warranties and Liability
6.1 Manufacturer warranties apply where offered.
6.2 We warrant services will be performed with reasonable skill and care.
6.3 We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
6.4 Our total liability will not exceed the value of the order.
7. Errors and Omissions
We may correct pricing, product, or content errors and cancel affected orders with a full refund.
8. Intellectual Property
All Site content is protected by law and may not be reproduced without our consent.
9. Third-Party Links
We are not responsible for third-party sites or content.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site indicates acceptance.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Site is subject to our Privacy Policy.
